Sure, oatmeal cookies do look and taste heavenly, but have you had one baked with hard cider? These adult cookies are making people go crazy for them. The cookies, of course, are easy to bake - it brings together two of my favorite things: hard cider and cookies.
The recipe is also quite vibrant. You’ll need 1 bottle of hard cider, ¾ of unsalted butter, ¾ cups of brown sugar, 1 egg, ½ tablespoon of vanilla extract, ½ tbs of baking soda, ½ tbs of salt, 3 cups rolled oats, ¼ tbs nutmeg, 1 cup of diced apples, 11/2 cups of flour, ½ cup of dried cranberries and ½ cups of white chocolate chunks. And that is it.
(2) Hard Cider Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting
Mini cupcakes make for a good dessert, especially when topped with cream cheese frosting. But when a little touch of hard cider is added, you get a dessert that is simply out of this world. Well, they are mini hard cider cupcakes – not your boring traditional cupcakes. (3) Baked Stuffed Apples
What’s sweeter than stuffed apples? Baked stuffed apples, of course. Baking this decadent dessert with hard cider brings out its heavenly taste. You will need six baking apples, ¼ cups of chopped walnuts, 1 ½ cups of hard cider, ½ cup of dried cranberries, ¼ cup of sugar, 1/8 tsp nutmeg, and ¼ tsp of cinnamon. (4) Apple Beer Bread with Caramel
The chefs who came up with the caramel beer bread said the recipe is quite easy. I don’t know about that, but the bread is surely delicious. It requires most of the stuff that’s already in your kitchen. However, it’s best to use wheat beer, and the caramel topping gives the dessert a toffee texture. You can also pair the beer bread with a tinge of vanilla ice cream. It simply sounds heavenly.
These are just, but a few creative and unusual desserts made with hard cider. You can always try mixing things up.
